Oil refinery in Russia's Samara catches fire after drone attack – photo, videos

Details: Astra reported that its Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis indicates that the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara has caught fire following an attack.

Residents of Samara Oblast reported hearing explosions on the night of 9-10 June, while the governor warned of a missile threat.

According to Astra's analysis of footage recorded by eyewitnesses, the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara has been targeted and is burning.

The refinery is one of the largest oil industry facilities in the region and is part of the Rosneft Oil Company.

Background:

• The facility was previously targeted in January 2026.
• It also suspended operations in August 2025 following a drone attack.
