Ukraine's Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov believes that dozens of companies will emerge that will bring thousands of foreign nationals from abroad to serve in Ukraine.

Quote: "This is already a tested mechanism. There are already several institutions (recruitment centres) in Ukraine that bring in foreigners. They bring them in by the hundreds and have already brought in thousands…
And we are confident that there will be dozens of companies that will bring in thousands of people per month to serve in Ukraine. Because, again, salaries on the front line are becoming highly competitive.
Secondly, a market is emerging for these companies that will bring people in transparently, without corruption or any schemes. In essence, we have introduced a new procurement procedure for services in order to launch this project.
A government resolution on this will be adopted soon. It is a complex mechanism, but one that will definitely produce a good result for us."
Details: Fedorov explained that Ukraine already has a working system in place: how foreigners pass through procedures, how they join Ukraine's Armed Forces, issues of interpreters, logistics costs, training costs and so on.
He noted that Ukraine has recently opened a private air defence market, with around 30 companies already operating in it, and the Ministry of Defence has decided to create a similar market for foreign recruits, allowing companies involved to obtain a licence: "Quickly, transparently, and earning UAH 300,000 [US$6,6000] per foreign recruit."
Quote: "Payments will be made gradually so that quality and training in particular, are factors in how effectively a company performs this task."
Background: Ukraine's Defence Ministry aims for foreigners to occupy up to 50% of assault and infantry positions within the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
