Quote: "Apparently, the occupiers still think their logistics routes through the so-called land corridor to temporarily occupied Crimea are a safe journey. But the drones of the Department of Active Operations have a different view."
Details: DIU published footage showing strikes on Russian military lorries, adding that "deliveries to the Zaporizhzhia front have been cancelled".
Background:
- On 9 June, the occupation authorities claimed that a bridge near the settlement of Chonhar had once again been damaged following an overnight attack supposedly carried out by Ukrainian drones.
- Satellite imagery later showed black scorch marks on the Chonhar Bridge from the strikes.
- The bridge near Chonhar is one of only two road routes connecting mainland Ukraine with the temporarily occupied peninsula.
- On 11 June, the occupation authorities in Kherson Oblast claimed that several bridges on the motorway to Crimea near Armiansk had been struck overnight.
- On 12 June, it was reported that traffic between occupied Crimea and Kherson Oblast near Chonhar was being routed via a pontoon crossing after the bridge was damaged. Satellite images showed a long queue of lorries waiting to use the crossing.
