Russian-occupied Sevastopol introduces electricity restrictions without schedule

A regime of electricity restrictions without a fixed schedule has been introduced in temporarily occupied Sevastopol, Crimea.

Quote: "A temporary electricity supply restriction regime has been introduced in Sevastopol by order of the dispatcher of the Black Sea Regional Dispatching Administration (branch of the Joint-Stock Company System Operator of the Unified Energy System)."

Details: Razvozhayev said the measure is intended to relieve overload on power grids outside the region in order to "prevent a failure in the entire energy system".

"Since the decision to impose outages was made by the grid operator, there is currently no fixed schedule for specific addresses. As soon as it becomes available, it will be posted on the Sevastopolenergo channel," he added.

Razvozhayev also urged residents to treat the "temporary difficulties" with understanding and to avoid using high-power electrical appliances.

Background: Occupied Sevastopol was left completely without electricity following a drone attack on the city's energy infrastructure on 24 June.
