Polish foreign minister says he would not rule out possibility of Russia staging "false flag operation" to attack NATO

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has said he would not rule out that Russia may organise a "false flag operation" within the next two years to justify an attack on a NATO member state.
Source: Sikorski in an interview with CBS News, as reported by European Pravda
Quote: "I wouldn't exclude the Russians doing some kind of false flag operation against Russian territory in order to have a pretext for hitting one of the NATO countries."
Details: Sikorski said the international community must make clear to Russian ruler Vladimir Putin that "we know what he's up to and that we will not be taken in and that this would be completely unacceptable, and we would defend every inch of NATO territory".
Background:
- Latvia's intelligence service recently warned that Russia is preparing possible provocations against the Baltic states or Poland, including drone attacks and other hybrid actions, to force NATO countries to stop supporting Ukraine.
- Meanwhile, Finnish President Alexander Stubb has dismissed concerns, including those raised in Sweden, that Russia intends to test NATO's Article 5 by attacking one of the Alliance's member states in the near future.
- Germany's commander-in-chief believes Germany must prepare for a Russian attack by 2029 or even earlier.
