Details: Yuri Hotsaniuk, head of the Russian-appointed occupation government in Crimea, said there is no electricity in the settlements of Armiansk, Krasnoperekopsk, Dzhankoi and the surrounding district, Yevpatoriia and its urban district, or in the Chornomorske and Saky districts.
Consumers have been promised that electricity will be restored "within the next 24 hours".
In addition, electricity in the Bakhchysarai district will be switched on for three hours and then off for three hours to "balance the load".
Hotsaniuk gave no specific reasons for the situation this time, saying only that there were "disruptions on the main networks", Krym.Realii reported.
The day before, he said the towns of Armiansk and Feodosiia could be left without electricity for 24 hours because of attacks on power grids.
Krym.Realii reported that on the night of 1-2 July, sounds of gunfire and explosions were heard in Crimea. Explosions were reported near a power plant in the city of Simferopol, as well as a possible attack on the 220 kV Donuzlav substation and the 110/35/10 kV yMytiaieve substation in the Saky district of Russian-occupied Crimea.
Background:
- Earlier, the authorities in temporarily occupied Crimea said they had received a lot of complaints from Crimean residents about the "unfair distribution of electricity" across the occupied peninsula. - It was reported earlier that around 60 settlements in Russian-occupied Crimea had been left without power.
- Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-installed governor of occupied Sevastopol, said earlier that the city had been left completely without electricity following a large-scale overnight drone attack on energy infrastructure on 24 June.
- The Russian occupation authorities have declared a regional state of emergency in Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
