Details: TANECO is one of Russia's largest and most advanced oil refineries. It has a refining depth of up to 99%, meaning it produces more petrol, diesel and aviation fuel from each tonne of crude oil than many older Russian refineries.

TAIF-NK is Nizhnekamsk's second major oil refinery, with an annual processing capacity of up to 8.5 million tonnes of crude oil. The facility includes one of Russia's most sophisticated complexes for processing heavy oil residues.

Background: The authorities in Tatarstan earlier reported that several industrial facilities in Nizhnekamsk had been damaged in a drone attack.
