Zelenskyy reveals he and Trump discussed China and its potential role in talks with Russia

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that at the NATO summit he spoke with the US president and European leaders about China's possible role and capabilities in the negotiation process on ending Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Quote: "We certainly discussed China with President Trump – their role in this war, their participation or potential participation and their capabilities."

Details: Zelenskyy added that he would prefer the details of this particular matter to remain between him and the US president.

"But overall, there was a great deal of discussion at this summit about Ukraine, and a great deal of discussion about the Middle East and China," the president stressed.

He also noted that some European leaders told him about a certain shift in Beijing's attitude towards Russia's war against Ukraine, suggesting that China's position on certain matters had hardened.

Some European leaders told me they had spoken with Chinese representatives, and China responded very seriously, very firmly and clearly to Russia's statements in the media on the possible use of nuclear weapons.
