Ukrainian PM Svyrydenko to take post of ambassador to US after resigning – MP

Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak has reported that Yuliia Svyrydenko, following her resignation as prime minister, will become ambassador to the US, while media note that current ambassador Olha Stefanishyna has requested to end her service for personal reasons.

Quote from MP Zheleznyak: "Svyrydenko is staying on the team. But she will be ambassador to the US. All the rumours that someone had a falling out there – those are rumours."
Details: Zheleznyak also stated that the leading candidate for the post of prime minister is Serhii Koretskyi.
At the same time, Interfax-Ukraine reports that Ukraine's Ambassador to the US Olha Stefanishyna will leave the diplomatic service of her own accord, with the president satisfied with her work.
According to a source, Stefanishyna requested to end her service due to personal circumstances as far back as last week.

- Earlier today, Zelenskyy met with Svyrydenko, after which he announced that she would leave the post of head of government and lead "a new significant direction in relations with a key partner".
- According to UP's sources, those being considered as possible candidates for the post of head of government include Koretskyi, Shmyhal, Fedorov and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, with each of whom Zelenskyy has held personal meetings.
