European Commission announces von der Leyen's visit to Kyiv on 15 July

Olof Gill, Deputy Chief Spokesperson for the European Commission, has announced that the Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Kyiv on Wednesday 15 July.

Details: Gill did not specify the purpose of the visit.
"President von der Leyen will be in Kyiv, Ukraine, tomorrow. For security reasons, we cannot confirm further details at the moment, so please bear with us," he said.
The spokesperson added that the European Commission will provide more information "when this is possible".
Background: Von der Leyen is currently in Paris, where celebrations marking France's national holiday are taking place on 14 July. The Coalition of the Willing meeting and the inaugural meeting of the Anti-Ballistic Coalition involving Ukraine were held there on 13 July.
