Ukraine's air defences down five missiles and 115 drones launched by Russia

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with one Kh-31P anti-radar missile, seven Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles and 130 drones of various types since the evening of 16 July. Air defences have downed five missiles and 115 UAVs.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed five Kh-59/69 air-launched missiles and 115 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east. Hits by two missiles and eight UAVs have been recorded at seven locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at five locations."

Details: The Air Force also reported that the Kh-31P anti-radar missile failed to reach its target.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

As of the morning of 17 July, the attack is still ongoing.
