Ukrainian air defences intercept 46 out of 58 Russian drones

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 58 drones of various types on the night of 20-21 July. Air defences have intercepted 46 UAVs.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 46 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and Banderol loitering munitions and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by eight UAVs have been recorded at seven locations."

Details: On the night of 20-21 July (from 18:00 on 20 July), Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 58 Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones, Banderol loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy UAVs from the Russian cities of Kursk and Oryol as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in the airspace.
