Details: The meeting is scheduled to take place at 18:00 local time on Tuesday 28 July (01:00 Wednesday Kyiv time) at the US Capitol.
The meeting comes as the Senate considers legislation that would impose tougher sanctions on Russia and its trading partners in response to Moscow's ongoing aggression against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy is visiting Washington to attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the co-authors of the sanctions bill and a key figure in securing support for Ukraine in Congress. One of Graham's last meetings was with Zelenskyy in Kyiv on 10 July.
The sanctions bill, which enjoys broad bipartisan support, is expected to be one of the topics discussed during the meeting. President Trump has also endorsed the legislation and has sought to expand it to include additional sanctions targeting Iran and Hezbollah in the Middle East.
The Hill noted that, over the past several months, small groups of US senators have met with the Ukrainian president to discuss continued assistance for Kyiv and additional sanctions against Russia. A large bipartisan delegation met Zelenskyy in Munich in February, while other senators have met him during his previous visits to Washington.
Zelenskyy is also scheduled to meet Trump on Tuesday.
