Zelenskyy confirms strikes on Russian targets in Sarapul, Kazan and Volgograd – video

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukrainian defence forces carried out strikes on logistics hubs, an oil refinery and a sea terminal in several Russian regions on the night of 30-31 July.

Quote: "We continue to carry out our deep and mid-range strikes against Russian infrastructure facilities that prop up Russia's aggression. [...] In particular, today action was taken against three logistics centers in different regions of the Russian Federation – in Sarapul, Kazan, and Volgograd, at distances ranging from around 500 to nearly 1,300 kilometres."

Details: Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces also struck a sea terminal in Russia's Krasnodar Krai and an oil refinery in Volgograd Oblast. He added that there were also successful strikes in the Sea of Azov.

"Our strikes under the long-range sanctions plan are always about justified responses aimed at depriving the Russian war machine of its resources. [...] We are protecting our people and will continue to act as necessary to achieve peace," Zelenskyy said.
