Ukraine adds another 215 km of anti-drone protection in frontline regions, Defence Ministry says – photo
Ukraine's State Special Transport Service installed 215 km of anti-drone protection along key logistics routes in July, bringing the total built since the beginning of 2026 to more than 1,184 kilometres.

Details: The ministry also said that during July, workers restored 16.52 km of anti-drone protection in frontline regions and repaired nearly 112.7 km of roads.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the restoration campaign began in April. Since then, current repairs and routine maintenance have been completed on more than 424.9 km of roads.
"Work is currently under way on 21 sections, while another 25 have already been fully completed," the ministry said.
The Ministry of Defence added that every kilometre of protected roadway helps save the lives of Ukrainian service members, safeguard military equipment, and improve the ability of units to carry out combat missions.
Background:
- In May, then Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said that more than 1,170 km of anti-drone protection had already been installed along logistics routes in frontline regions, adding that the pace of construction had doubled compared with 2025.
- Earlier, Ukrainska Pravda reported that an additional UAH 1.6 billion (US$35.7 million) had been allocated from the state budget in February for the construction of anti-drone netting. By the end of the year, Ukraine plans to protect 4,000 km of roads.
