Quote: "We will shut down Russia's war machine – destroying its infrastructure, fleet, logistics, fuel and energy facilities, and enterprises working to wage war against Ukraine.
Our operation in Novorossiysk was unique. The combined strike involved missiles, strike drones, and naval drones."
Details: Khmara said that Russia had proved unable to counter the synchronised use of Ukrainian strike capabilities.
"This is the result of joint efforts and growing synergy across the defence forces," he stressed.
Quote: "Strengthening deep strikes against Russia is one of our key priorities. Together with Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi, the General Staff, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, other components of the defence forces, and weapons manufacturers, we will continue to increase this pressure."
Background:
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine had struck the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk with domestically-made Palianytsia drones and Neptun missiles.
- It later emerged that units of Ukraine's defence forces had struck a naval base in Novorossiysk, in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, damaging four Russian warships to varying degrees.
