Moscow comes under drone attack for second night in a row

The Russian authorities once again reported a drone attack on the city of Moscow on the night of 18-19 August.

Details: The Russian authorities claimed after 02:30 Kyiv time that 10 drones "flying towards Moscow" had been shot down.

The number of the drones rose to more than 20 within less than an hour.

Meanwhile, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported restrictions on operations at Moscow airports and several other Russian airports.

The airport in the Russian city of Yaroslavl also suspended operations, Yaroslavl Oblast Governor Mikhail Yevrayev said. He added that "traffic has been restricted on the road out of Yaroslavl towards Moscow to ensure safety".

Update: Sobyanin claimed in the morning that four more drones flying towards Moscow had been destroyed.
