Ukraine's Defence Intelligence provides Ukrainska Pravda with data on Russia's missile stockpiles and production rates
Ukrainska Pravda has learned that Russia has no shortage of missiles and has the capacity to produce more than 200 cruise and ballistic missiles per month. Its largest stockpiles are made up of Oniks and Kalibr missiles as well as RM-48U missiles for S-400 air defence systems, which Russia has adapted for use against ground targets.

Details: Data provided to Ukrainska Pravda by Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) shows that Russia continues to maintain a high rate of missile production, in some cases exceeding its planned output.
Quote from the article: "Russia can, in total, produce more than 200 cruise and ballistic missiles a month. The main priority right now is the production of Iskander-M, Kh-101 and Kalibr missiles."
More details: DIU reported that Russia has around 600 Oniks missiles, 450 Kalibrs and 400 RM-48U ballistic missiles for S-400 systems.
As of 5 August, Russia had around 130 9M723 ballistic missiles for Iskander-M systems. Its stockpiles are estimated at around 120 Zircon missiles, 100 Kh-101 missiles and 50 Kinzhal missiles.
According to DIU data, as of July 2026, Russia also had around 50 North Korean KN-23, KN-24 and KN-30 ballistic missiles.
The article notes that Russia's military-industrial complex has a monthly production target of 60 9M723 missiles for Iskander-M systems. However, this target was exceeded in July, when 65 missiles were produced.
That same month, Russia produced 87 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
In addition, Russia manufactures around 50 RM-48U missiles for S-400 systems each month. Over the course of 2026, Russia plans to produce more than 480 RM-48U missiles – more than twice the number planned for 2025.
