Russian forces hit warehouse storing Varus supermarket goods in Boryspil

A warehouse containing goods for Varus supermarkets in Boryspil has been damaged as a result of a Russian missile strike on the night of 19-20 August.

Quote: "A warehouse belonging to the chain's logistics partner, located in Boryspil, was hit. In particular, it stored some of the chain's product stocks. We are currently working together with representatives of the partner company to assess the consequences and clarify all the circumstances of the incident."
Details: Varus warned that as a result, temporary partial shortages of some products may occur in certain stores. The chain also asserted that it continues to operate normally – all stores are open and ready to receive customers.
"We are doing everything possible to ensure uninterrupted supply and product availability on the shelves," the company stated.
Background:
- A warehouse belonging to the Fora grocery store chain in Martusivka in Kyiv Oblast, where fresh produce was stored, was damaged as a result of a Russian strike.
- Food warehouses and Red Cross facilities in Boryspil were damaged in an overnight Russian attack, with fires still being extinguished at the sites of impact.
