The two ministers paid particular attention to the situation in the Black Sea and Russian attacks on freedom of navigation.

Sybiha pointed out that there is now an opportunity to speed up progress towards peace and that diplomacy plays a key role in this. He underlined Ukraine's firm position: genuine and lasting peace is only possible with Europe's active engagement at the negotiating table.

Sybiha and Wadephul paid particular attention to special anti-ballistic sanctions, designed to limit Russia's capacity to produce ballistic missiles as much as possible. The foreign ministers discussed further steps to implement this initiative.

Sybiha said that Germany was the first country with which Ukraine began joint drone production. This cooperation is now scaling up successfully, including in the production of the Linza attack drone and the Termit ground drone.

Quote from Sybiha: "Supporting Ukraine is a direct investment in Germany's own security and prosperity. Our strategic partnership is mutually beneficial. Ukrainian technologies are already strengthening your defence and economy today."

More details: The two sides also paid significant attention to economic cooperation and future reconstruction.

The ministers also discussed in detail Ukraine's preparations for winter, protecting energy infrastructure from Russian attacks and the provision of additional equipment and resources.

A separate topic of the talks was Ukraine's accession to the European Union. Sybiha thanked Germany for its consistent support for Ukraine's European integration and stressed the importance of opening the remaining four negotiating clusters as soon as possible.
