"Testing the resolve of NATO": Ukrainian foreign minister responds to Russian drones entering Moldova and Romania

Details: Sybiha stressed that during the latest overnight attack on Ukraine, Russia once again violated the airspace of Moldova and Romania, "while a Ukrainian-Moldovan border crossing point was targeted".
The minister said that he and his Moldovan and Romanian counterparts, Mihai Popșoi and Oana Țoiu, will continue to coordinate closely and "work towards a stronger and more effective regional response to Russia's cynical attempts to widen the war it started".
He also said these issues will be raised at the upcoming Odesa Triangle summit to strengthen regional security, protect critical infrastructure and ensure that Russia's unlawful actions have consequences.
Quote: "These are not isolated incidents. They are part of Russia's deliberate and systemic terrorist attacks. The aggressor state is increasingly testing the resolve of NATO and its partners, violating the sovereignty of neighbouring states and deliberately expanding the risks posed by its war far beyond Ukraine."
Background:
- On the night of 19-20 August, a drone violated Romanian airspace, prompting the country to scramble aircraft to monitor it.
- The drone entered Romanian airspace approximately 13 km east of the city of Galați, and at 03:24, it crashed in an uninhabited area around 4 km north-east of the village of Grindu in Tulcea County.
- It later emerged that a drone, believed to have been a Shahed, also violated Moldovan airspace that same night.
- Following Russia's massive attack, Sybiha called on Ukraine's partners to provide interceptor missiles and step up sanctions pressure on Russia.
