Ukraine attacked by over 160 drones: air defence downs 134, hits reported

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 162 Shahed (some jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones as well as Parodiya decoy UAVs on the night of 25-26 August.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 134 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at 18 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at three locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in the airspace.
