Death toll from Russian strike on Bucha district rises – Zelenskyy
The death toll from a Russian strike and subsequent detonations in the village of Myla in Kyiv Oblast has risen to 38, and another 20 people have been injured.

Details: Zelenskyy said two children are among those injured. Another four people are missing, and the search for them is ongoing.
Rescue workers are operating at the scene around the clock. Most fires caused by the attack have been extinguished, and State Emergency Service bomb disposal teams are identifying and neutralising explosive objects.
Zelenskyy noted that the area remains heavily contaminated with explosive objects.
The president also said that over the past week, Russia has used nearly 2,000 attack drones, more than 1,600 aerial bombs and 31 missiles of various types, including North Korean ballistic missiles, against Ukraine.

- Powerful explosions were heard in the Bucha district of Kyiv Oblast on the evening of 28 August. A warehouse facility caught fire, and all traffic was blocked in both directions on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop road between kilometres 15 and 32.
- As of 29 August, local authorities reported that the death toll from the Russian attack and subsequent detonation in the Bucha district had risen to 37, while another 42 people were injured.
- Zelenskyy stated that ammunition cannot be stored near residential buildings. He also said the first strike in Myla village hit a defence forces warehouse that "should not have been there".
- Commenting on the deaths of dozens of people after the Russian strike on Myla, Ukraine's General Staff said Russia is the root cause of the tragedy.
