Ukrainian foreign minister discusses Black Sea security with his Egyptian counterpart
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said he discussed the security situation in the Black Sea with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty.

Details: Sybiha said that during the phone call with Abdelatty, they had also exchanged views on the broader regional situation and developments in the Middle East.
Background:
- In the first half of 2026, Ukrainian seaports handled 42.4 million tonnes of cargo despite Russian attacks, which intensified in July. However, as of 23 July, inbound vessel traffic to Ukraine's Black Sea ports has been suspended due to the threat of Russian attacks.
