Ukrainian foreign minister discusses Black Sea security with his Egyptian counterpart

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said he discussed the security situation in the Black Sea with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty.

Quote: "I briefed my counterpart on the latest developments on the battlefield and Ukraine's ongoing efforts to achieve a lasting and comprehensive peace.

We focused in particular on the security situation in the Black Sea and its implications for freedom of navigation and global food security. Ukraine remains committed to ensuring reliable food supplies to countries around the world."

Details: Sybiha said that during the phone call with Abdelatty, they had also exchanged views on the broader regional situation and developments in the Middle East.
