Dozens of trains fall behind schedule due to Russian strikes

As a result of Russian strikes and prolonged air-raid warnings, dozens of passenger trains have deviated from their schedules.

Details: Train delays range from three and a half to almost 10 hours.

Meanwhile, some trains have made up for some of the delay – they are expected to reach their final stations an average of two hours earlier than previously estimated, taking the security situation into account.

Background:

• In the early hours of 2 September, Russia struck Ukraine with ballistic missiles, air-launched missiles, Banderol cruise missiles, and drones, half of which were jet-powered.
• Earlier, following a nighttime attack on infrastructure in Odesa, electric public transport suspended operations due to a lack of electricity.
