Dozens of trains delayed due to Russian strikes

Dozens of passenger trains have been delayed as a result of Russian strikes and prolonged air-raid warnings.

Details: Train delays are ranging from three and a half to almost 10 hours.

However, some trains have made up for some of the delay and are expected to reach their final destinations an average of two hours earlier than previously estimated, taking the security situation into account.

Background:

• In the early hours of 2 September, Russia attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles, air-launched missiles, Banderol cruise missiles and drones, half of which were jet-powered.
• Earlier, following an overnight attack on infrastructure in Odesa, a power cut forced electric-powered public transport to suspend operations.
