Ukraine's General Staff: defence forces hit Ryazan oil refinery, airfield and air defence assets in Russia

Ukrainian forces struck the Ryazan oil refinery, the Rostov-on-Don airfield and three Russian air defence assets on the night of 5-6 September.

Details: A fire was reported at the Ryazan oil refinery following the strike. The General Staff noted that the facility is involved in supplying Russian forces.

The Rostov-on-Don airfield in Rostov Oblast was also struck. A fire was reported near the facility.
In addition, the defence forces struck a Podlet radar and two Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
Background:
- Ryazan Oblast Governor Pavel Malkov previously confirmed a drone attack on the oblast and reported a fire "at a facility", without specifying which one.
- Russian media outlet Astra used OSINT analysis of photos and videos to establish that the facility targeted was the Ryazan oil refinery.
