Quote: "Indeed, everyone emphasises this – without going into details now, we discussed this with the American side, with the European side – everyone notes: we have grown stronger on the battlefield. And this gives us the opportunity to be more confident in any format of future discussions with the American side, and certainly with the Russian side."
Details: Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine has strengthened its positions on the battlefield over the past 10-12 months.
"We have become stronger on the battlefield in the east as well, where the enemy is active, where it has increased its personnel numbers. I believe that after the elections in Russia, there will be mobilisation exclusively for this front," the president said.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine supports the idea of trilateral meetings involving the US and Russia, including with the participation of Kyiv's European partners, but Russia is not currently showing sufficient willingness to agree to a specific negotiating format.
Quote: "Yes, everything must be done to ensure trilateral meetings take place, or trilateral meetings plus European partners, and we will see what Russia agrees to. Today it still has too much confidence, unfortunately, to think about one format or another."
