Ukraine's Fire Point confirms attack on Ozon in Russia’s Saratov and reports Flamingo strike in Volgograd

Ukraine's defence forces struck an Ozon warehouse complex in the Russian city of Saratov and the chemical plant Volgogradpromproekt on the night of 10-11 September.

Quote from Fire Point: "Overnight, Ukraine's defence forces destroyed another Ozon warehouse complex using FP-1 drones – this time in Saratov. The area of the destroyed warehouse was 85,000 sq m. The complex was designed to store more than 30 million items of goods."

Details: It was also reported that FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles struck the Volgogradpromproekt plant in Volgograd overnight.

"Direct missile hits on the target were recorded, resulting in a fire… Ukrainian sanctions, as always, proved to be the most effective," Fire Point stated.

On the morning of 11 September, Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrei Bocharov reported a missile attack on the region, saying that "debris was recorded falling on the territory of an industrial facility in the south of Volgograd".

"Emergency services are working and dealing with the consequences. Emergency services and the municipality have been instructed to assess the damage, deal with the consequences and prepare temporary accommodation facilities," Bocharov stated.

For reference: Volgogradpromproekt LLC is under US sanctions for working with the Russian military-industrial complex. The company produces ferrocene-containing combustion catalysts and develops chemical production technologies.

Background: On the night of 10-11 September, drones struck the Saratov oil refinery in Russia. In addition to the refinery, a fire broke out at an Ozon logistics centre.
