Trump-Zelenskyy meeting at UN General Assembly not currently planned – Suspilne
US President Donald Trump currently has no plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the UN General Assembly in New York.

Details: Two senior Ukrainian officials also told Suspilne that, as of 19 September, a bilateral meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy had not been confirmed. It is also not included in the US President's schedule, as announced by Waltz.
According to him, Trump will arrive in New York in the afternoon of 21 September. He is scheduled to attend political events at Trump Tower in the evening.
On 22 September, the US president will deliver a speech at the UN General Assembly. He will then hold a series of bilateral meetings, including with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
Trump will also meet with the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and host a reception for leaders attending the General Assembly.
In addition, Trump is scheduled to meet Venezuela's Acting President Delcy Rodríguez in New York.
Trump will return to the White House on the evening of 22 September.
Background:
- It was previously reported that Zelenskyy was hoping to meet Trump in late September. At the time, the Ukrainian president said he hoped to discuss US ballistic missile packages with the US president.
- Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi confirmed on 16 September that Ukraine and the US were working on preparations for a meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump.
- Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also said that one of the key outcomes of a Zelenskyy-Trump meeting in New York could be the establishment of an energy and maritime ceasefire.
