Russia attacks Ukraine with 295 drones: 267 downed

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 295 attack drones of various types, Banderol/Dan-T drone missiles and Parodiya decoy UAVs since the evening of 24 September. Ukrainian air defences have destroyed 267 drones, although some strikes have been recorded.

Quote: "As of 07:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 267 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones. Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at 16 locations and downed aerial assets (debris) landed at four locations."

Details: The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Shatalovo as well as from the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Hvardiiske.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

As of the morning of 25 September, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
