As of 11:03, 12 people are known to have been killed and 40 injured in Russian attacks on several Ukrainian regions on the night of 6-7 October. The dead include an 8-year-old boy, and five children are among those injured in Pryluky.

Quote: "Search and rescue operations are currently underway at eight locations – in [the city of] Kyiv and Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv and Poltava oblasts. This massive terrorist strike on Ukrainian cities has killed 12 people. More than 40 civilians have been injured."

Details: A Russian attack on Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast killed six people, including an eight-year-old boy. Another 34 people were injured, including five children. The youngest person injured in the attack is a three-year-old girl.

Quote: "Sadly, today is a difficult day for everyone in the Interior Ministry system. A woman serving as a police officer was injured in the strike on Pryluky. Her husband, who until recently served with the police on the front line, and her mother were killed."

Details: Rescuers and police are continuing to search for missing people who may be trapped under the rubble of a destroyed five-storey building.

Mobile Interior Ministry service centres are also operating in Pryluky and Kremenchuk in Poltava Oblast, where people can restore lost documents or deregister destroyed vehicles free of charge.

Vyhivskyi noted that units from neighbouring oblasts are also being involved in dealing with the aftermath of the attack.
