Quote: "Pryluky, Kremenchuk, Oleksandriia, Kyiv – today's [7 October] strikes have claimed 28 lives. Five of the 20 people killed in Pryluky were children, three of them just one year old.
Two people have been killed in an evening attack on Kyiv. Every increase in the death toll means another tragedy for dozens of families."
Details: Vyhivskyi added that State Emergency Service workers and police officers had managed to rescue 29 people from under the rubble, evacuate people from destroyed buildings and protect them from the fire. Most of them were in Pryluky.
Quote: "The footage of a State Emergency Service worker carrying a five-year-old girl in his arms has been shown by almost all the media. The man in the footage is squad commander Pavlo Levchenko. Together with his colleagues, he rescued the child and her mother from under the rubble after the blast wave threw them out of the building. The rescue operation has been underway for more than 14 hours now – we have to make sure there are no more people under the rubble."
Details: Vyhivskyi also said that "many lives have been saved" in Kremenchuk. Patrol officers "evacuated residents in the first minutes after the attack, provided first aid and transported the injured to ambulances".
