Details: The visit could take place after meetings in Miami with Ukrainian negotiators and European officials on 9 October, where "new ideas and proposals" are due to be presented to break the deadlock in the Russia-Ukraine war.

"Witkoff and Kushner might travel to Moscow later this month for more talks with Putin, a source with knowledge said," Axios wrote.

Witkoff and Kushner visited Moscow and Kyiv in early September. Since then, they have been working with the Russians and Ukrainians on an updated peace initiative.

Background:

On 8 October, Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian negotiators would be in the US on 9-10 October for talks with the American side.
He said European partners would join the Ukrainian negotiating team.
The day before, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said diplomatic negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war are currently proving "elusive".
