President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared that Russia is continuing to target peaceful Ukrainian citizens and destroy civilian infrastructure and this shows that the existing sanctions are insufficient and new ones are necessary.

According to Zelenskyy: "Overnight the occupiers have bombed a shoe factory, an apartment building, and a kindergarten in Dnipro. For what? How did they threaten the Russian state? They have destroyed people’s homes in the villages of the Sumy region. Continued to torture the residents of Mariupol. Of Kharkiv. They have launched rockets on Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk […]

If THIS continues, it means that the sanctions against Russia are NOT strong enough."

Details: Zelenskyy added that he expects "new sanction solutions from our partners today."

The President underscored that Russia has to pay for this awful war, to pay for it every day.
