Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko said that Russian troops’ plans to take Kyiv will never be accomplished.

Today I can say – we are working in communication with the military, we are constantly working with territorial defence.
Russia will never accomplish its plans to take Kyiv. Never!
Even if they, as a last resort, can capture some buildings, they will never capture the people. The city of Kyiv is not just its buildings. The city of Kyiv is, first and foremost, its people.
They [the Russian invaders- ed.] are using shelling to incite fear and panic in the city, but its effect is the opposite. It breeds anger, hatred, and a desire for revenge."
