After Russian shelling of civilians in the centre of Chernihiv on March 17, there are casualties, including a US citizen.

Details: It is stated that the police are helping to evacuate the injured citizens to medical facilities.
Chernihiv investigators are working at the scene to record all the circumstances and consequences of Russian war crimes.
Background: The head of the Chernihiv regional state administration Vyacheslav Chaus reported on a current situation in the city. Russia is continuing systemic artillery and air strikes on the regional centre, destroying civilian infrastructure. At least 53 people were killed on March 16 due to shelling of Chernihiv by Russian occupation forces.
At least 10 civilians were killed as they waited in a line for bread.
