With refusals to fight mounting, Russia looks to send fighters from Armenia to Ukraine - Armed Forces of Ukraine

OLENA ROSCHINA - FRIDAY, MARCH 18, 2022, 20:38

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that some Russian servicemen are refusing to take part in warfare on the territory of Ukraine. In response to this, the military leadership of the Russian Federation plans to send some units from Armenia to Ukraine.

Source: operative information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on Friday, March 18, 2022.

Quote: "The military leadership of the Russian Federation plans to transfer some units from the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia to Ukraine in continuing attempts to restore the combat capability of some units involved in warfare.
The refusal of some servicemen of the Russian Federation to take part in warfare has been confirmed, and is caused by the low level of moral and psychological condition of the Russian occupiers after clashes with the Ukrainian defence forces.

Thus, in particular, at the permanent deployment point of the 20th Motorised Rifle Division of the 8th All-Military Army of the Southern Military District, about 130 servicemen refused to take part in warfare.
The enemy's personnel have been demoralised, suicides and self-mutilation have become more frequent."

Details: According to the General Staff, in the city of Dzhankoi in the occupied Crimea, education in x secondary schools has been suspended – they are used to accommodate servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces who arrive in the city.
In the Chernihiv region, Russian occupiers are intimidating locals to suppress civilian resistance.

At the same time, the pro-government Russian media continues to spread false information about Russian aggression in Ukraine, the General Staff notes.

According to the General Staff, the Russians continue to create and distribute through all available information channels, including in the European Union and the United States, staged propaganda videos to discredit the activities of the military-political leadership and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
