Podoliak said: "At this exact moment, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is talking to the Russian president about humanitarian corridors. The world has finally woken up to the scale of the catastrophe organised by the Russians. On our side, Irina Vereshchuk and Sergei Trusov are responsible for humanitarian corridors."

Ukraine has asked the International Committee of the Red Cross to urgently assist in establishing humanitarian corridors, as agreed between Ukraine and Russia during the second round of talks.

Ukraine is ready to ensure the safe departure of people and the delivery of humanitarian goods. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will guarantee safe passage through the corridor. Ukraine expects this from the Russian side too.
