An employee of the Department of Emergency was injured as a result of shelling in Severodonetsk in Luhansk region. Two more two deminers were injured while disarming mines in Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.

Verbatim: "As a result of the shelling of the town of Severodonetsk. one employee of the 35th State Fire and Rescue Unit (SFRU) received a shrapnel wound to the abdomen. 

"The shelling of Lysychansk damaged windows in the building of the 64th SFRU. There were no casualties. During the demining operation in the town of Pokrovsk, two deminers received wounds (shrapnel wounds and explosion injuries as a result of the detonation of an explosive object). The injured individuals were sent to the Pokrovsk city hospital for medical care".

Details: The Joint Forces Operation headquarters reported that a kindergarten and Iskorka orphanage were damaged. In addition, a 100kW power line in Severdonetsk was damaged, leaving part of the city without power. The number of affected people is being confirmed.

As of 5 March at 18:00, approximately 400 people were evacuated from the Volnovakha district in the Donetsk region to safe areas. 

Since 24 February, about 5,000 people in the Luhansk region and close to 2,800 people in Donetsk oblast have been evacuated from population centres.
