Russians turn Mariupol into a ghetto for Ukrainians just like Nazis - adviser to the mayor

In Mariupol, the Russian occupiers are urging civilians to wear a white ribbon, which is a hostile symbol - they want to make people "bait" for Ukrainian snipers.

Quote: "Danger to residents. The Russian occupying forces are urging Mariupol residents to wear a white ribbon as a sign that they are "theirs" (white ribbons are worn by the Russian army and people who sided with the Russian occupying forces to fight against Ukraine -ed.)

In fact, in this way, the Russians are again using the civilian population as "bait" for snipers and soldiers of the Ukrainian army. Because this is the sign used by the Russian army and can be mistaken for the real enemy by Ukrainian soldiers. This brazen shamelessness is everywhere.

We have started to get information about the introduction by the occupiers of certain passes – permits to move around the city. Together with special marks in the form of white ribbons, this is reminiscent of real segregation and the transformation of Mariupol into a real ghetto for Ukrainians like the Nazis did in Lviv and Poland. It's not even surprising anymore."

Details: Andriushchenko also provided details about the most dangerous parts of the besieged city.

According to him, a danger zone begins in the Left Bank district extending from "Veselka Park". In the area of "Peremohy Square" ("Victory Square") and Meotida Boulevard there is a zone of direct combat, where snipers are also working.

The coastal area near the port remains a hotspot of fighting. There is artillery shelling and bombing from planes in the area from Pischanyi beach to Strelka.

The central district is safe only in the zone of 23-17 micro districts, the rest of the territory there is a zone of permanent street fights. Residents are asked to refrain from entering and moving in the specified areas (please inform relatives).

Andriushchenko emphasises that it is almost impossible to leave the city either on foot or by vehicle. There have been cases when people could leave the city – but only if they lived in Mangush and Nikolsky districts and they went through subsequent filtration (the invaders force people who want to leave the occupied territories to go through special checks and register all their movements at specific checkpoints - ed.)

This filtration takes a lot of time, which once again confirms fears that  Russians are trying to stop the evacuation to the territory controlled by Ukraine, said the mayor's adviser.

Fighting continues in the area of "Peremohy Square" ("Victory Square") and Meotida Boulevard, which does not even allow the occupiers to remove the dead bodies of murdered Mariupol residents.

Quote: "It’s a terrible picture. This year here we have been planning to build a new "Multiplex" entertainment centre on the rights of a municipal partnership. The "Russian world" has changed everything. After the victory, we will build it anyway".
