Missile strikes on Vinnytsia Oblast: there are dead and wounded

There are dead and wounded as a result of the Russian missile strikes on Zhmerynka and Koziatyn in Vinnytsia Oblast on the morning of Monday, 25 April.

According to Borzov: "Today Vinnytsia Oblast was struck by missiles again. The cities of Zhmerynka and Koziatyn. The enemy is trying to strike critical infrastructure facilities. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded."

Details: Borzov added that rescue works were currently underway. Police and Security Service of Ukraine officers were also working at the site of the incident.

The head of the Military Administration promised to share more details of the attack in due course.

Background:

  • On the morning of 25 April an air-raid alert was announced over all of Ukraine.
  • Around 08:20 explosions were heard near Zhmerynka in Vinnytsia Oblast; air defence systems were working in Lviv Oblast; and fires erupted in 2 towns in Zolochiv District, Lviv Oblast.
  • Oleksandr Kamyshyn, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian Railways], said that the Russian occupation forces had fired on 5 railway stations in central and western Ukraine on the morning of 25 April and that there were wounded.
