Kuleba on Lavrov’s threats: Moscow already “senses defeat in Ukraine”

Evropeiska Pravda – Tuesday, 26 April 2022, 08:59

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, believes that threats concerning WWIII issued by Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, testify to the fact that Russia senses its defeat in the war with Ukraine.

Details: According to Kuleba, Russia’s talk of a "real" danger of WWIII bears out the fact that it is losing hope of being able to threaten the world into not supporting Ukraine.

"This only means Moscow senses defeat in Ukraine. Therefore, the world must double down on supporting Ukraine so that we prevail and safeguard European and global security," the Minister wrote.

Earlier: Yesterday, on 25 April, Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, said that there was a "real danger of WWIII."

He also said that the threat of a nuclear war was real, and this threat "cannot be underestimated."

Edgars Rinkēvičs, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Latvia, called on other countries to double down their support for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia after Lavrov’s speech about WWIII.
