An explosion rang out in Ternopil, with the mayor declaring a missile attack on the region. A Russian missile was shot down over Slavuta in the Khmelnytskyi region.

According to Nadal: "There was an explosion in the city. We are investigating the causes."

Details: The Mayor said that the air-raid warning was ongoing and asked citizens to remain protected in shelters.

He added that the water, electricity and heat supplies were functioning normally.

Nadal later added that he was awaiting official data regarding the missile attack in the Ternopil region from "Zahid" (West) Operational Command.

Earlier on Sunday the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation claimed that high-precision air-based missiles had "destroyed large fuel storages in Kostyantynivka in the Mykolaiv region, Slavuta in the Rivne region and Ternopil."

In fact, Slavuta is located in the Khmelnytsky region. A Russian missile had been shot down there on Sunday evening, according to reports.
