A total of seven rockets were reportedly fired into the city. It is noted that "clearly vintage, Soviet-type ones were used, which, due to their age, are already failing in their aim."

The missile impact caused destruction followed by fire. By 01:20, fires had been extinguished over an area of 1,000 square metres. Three people were injured.

As a result of another missile attack on the evening of 9 May, three warehouses of finished products in the Suvorovsky district of Odesa caught fire.
