Armed Forces of Ukraine liberate 4 settlements in Kharkiv Region - General Staff

The Defence Forces of Ukraine have liberated the settlements of Cherkaski Tyshky, Ruski Tyshky, Rubizhne and Bairak in Kharkiv Region.

Details: The General Staff reported that the aggressor had been increasing the pace of strategic offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone. The aggressors opened fire along the entire line of contact and in the depths of the Ukrainian army’s defence. The aggressors have been most active in Slobozhanshchyna and the Donetsk area.

Missile strikes on civilian and military infrastructure remain highly probable.

The aggressors refrained from active operations near Volyn and Polissia. According to observations, military equipment of the Belarusian Armed Forces has been relocated as part of an operational readiness test and to complete the rotation of individual units brought in to reinforce the protection of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel Regions.

The aggressors continued to implement enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border in Bryansk and Kursk Regions in Sivershchyna. The aggressors fired mortars in the border areas near Karpovychi and Senkivka in Chernihiv Region.

The aggressors refrained from active offensive operations in Slobozhanshchyna. They continued measures aimed at regrouping existing units. The aggressors organised engineering work and fortification at the frontline, strengthened the air defence system, and reinforced the system of medical support.

The aggressors additionally relocated up to five hundred mobilised individuals from the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk Regions to Kharkiv Region in order to prevent units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine from advancing and to reinforce the occupying troops.

The aggressors continued to facilitate favourable conditions for the offensive in the Izium area. To this end, they replenished ammunition and materiel, conducted engineering work at the frontline and stepped up air reconnaissance.

The aggressors failed in their attempt to establish control over Rubizhne near Sievierodonetsk.

The aggressors carried out assault operations near the settlements of Nyzhnie, Toshkivka and Orikhove in Luhansk Region. These operations failed. 

The aggressors attempted to gain a foothold near the town of Oleksandrivka. They carried out assault operations near the village of Shandryholove, Donetsk Region. These operations failed. 

In the Donetsk area, the occupying forces attempted assault operations near the town of Marinka and the settlements of Kamianka (Yasynuvata district) and Novomykhailivka (Pokrovsk district) in Donetsk Region. These operations failed. 

In the city of Mariupol, the aggressors focused their efforts on blockading and destroying Ukrainian units near the Azovstal steelworks. The aggressors conducted assault operations supported by artillery and tanks.

The situation in the Zaporizhzhia and Pivdennyi Buh areas has not changed significantly.

Terrorist attacks have been anticipated in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. There have been no mobilisation activities in the region. Local armed groups and the task force of Russian troops remain on high alert.

The aggressors continue to suffer losses on the territory of Ukraine. For instance, according to available information, units of the 138th Separate Guards Krasnoselskaya Motor Rifle Brigade of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District have been withdrawn from Ukraine to Belgorod Region in the Russian Federation due to significant losses suffered in Kharkiv Region. A significant number of the remaining military personnel enlisted by contract have tendered their resignations.
