The Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian X-type cruise missile fired by a Russian fighter jet at Odesa.

Background: On the morning of 16 May, Russian troops launched rocket attacks on the Odesa region: they attacked a bridge across the Dniester estuary; a leisure centre was damaged and four people were injured, including a child.
