Ukraine will continue to cooperate with Moldova and maintain its territorial integrity against the backdrop of escalation in unrecognised Transnistria.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at a briefing in Kyiv, writes Evropeyska Pravda.

"We need to work with Moldova and maintain the territorial integrity and sovereignty of this state. We will do this, even though, let's be frank, we expected a better response from Moldova to our requests for support at the start of the Russian invasion", Kuleba said.

The minister stressed that Moldova does not need another front in Transnistria, and neither do Ukraine and Europe.

"Therefore, we will contain the escalation and keep the situation under control together", he added.

Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine reported that Transnistria continues to be prepared for war with Ukraine - Russia is planning provocations there over the May holidays.
