Quote: "The main focus of the enemy is on defeating the Joint Forces and attempting to establish full control over the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Here the enemy is trying to overcome the resistance of Joint Forces units in order to create favourable conditions for an offensive.

The invaders focused their main efforts on the Bakhmut front. They are trying to build on their success on the Lyman front.

On the Donetsk front, the aggressors continue to inflict artillery and air strikes on the Lyman and Komyshuvakha districts of Donetsk Oblast, and also on Sievierodonetsk and Novozvanivka in the Luhansk region.

The Russian occupying forces attempted offensive and assault operations in the Sievierodonetsk and Bakhmut areas near the settlements of Berestove, Lypove and Nyrkove. They had no success and retreated to the previously occupied frontiers.

On the Avdiivka front, the Russian occupiers carried out unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Avdiivka and Pisky.

The aggressors carried out air strikes and artillery shelling in the Marinka, Mykilske, Poltavka and Orikhove districts.

In addition, the Russian occupiers continue to actively prepare for offensive operations in the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia areas."

Details: In the Izium and Sloviansk districts, the Russian occupying forces tried to improve the tactical position of their units. They tried to attack Dovhenke in Kharkiv Oblast and Bohorodychne in Donetsk Oblast, but retreated.

In the Kharkiv region, the positions of Ukrainian units have come under heavy fire from the Russians. Occupying troops shelled Krasnopillia, Sumy region, as well as Ternov, Ruski Tyshky, Dovhenke and Nova Dmytrivka in the Kharkiv region, with artillery.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, the Russians tried to improve the tactical position of their divisions, moving in the direction of Mykolaiv to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts. In addition, the invaders fired on houses in Novooleksandrivka, Trudoliubivka, Novopavlivka, Blahodatne and  Posad-Pokrovske.

On the Volyn, Polissia and Siverskyi fronts, there are no significant changes compared to the situation as of 24 May.

Ukrainian intelligence records a significant increase in the number of wounded Russian servicemen in medical facilities in Russia in the border areas with Ukraine.

In addition, Ukrainian intelligence warns that marches with equipment and weapons will be held at military training grounds in almost all of the oblasts in Belarus at the end of May.

Background: Ukrainian defenders have so far demilitarised Russia to the extent of 206 planes, 1,305 tanks and 112 cruise missiles.
