Reznikov hopes that Ramstein 3 will solve the problem of heavy weapons

The Ukrainian Minister of Defence, Oleksii Reznikov, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, met with US Ambassador Bridget Brink in Kyiv to discuss military assistance and the strengthening of Ukraine's defence capabilities.

Details: It has been reported that the parties discussed cooperation on providing timely and effective solutions to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi informed Bridget Brink about a recent telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley.

Quote from Valerii Zaluzhnyi: "I’ve shared our strategic ideas and goals with General Mark Milley. Understanding the strategy of our armed struggle and operations will help ensure transparency in our relations with partners, as well as a clear and understandable quantitative estimate and time frame for the international technical assistance requested by Ukraine."

Details: In addition, the parties discussed the preparations for the next meeting of the Ramstein 3 Contact Group on Defence of Ukraine, to be held in Brussels on June 15.

Reznikov hopes that the outcome of the new meeting in the Ramstein format will increase the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially heavy weapons.

Bridget Brink assured Reznikov and Zaluzhnyi that she is focused on providing Ukraine with the necessary weapons to fight.
