Number of children injured as a result of the war with Russia rises

726 Ukrainian children have been injured or killed since the start of Russia's full-scale military aggression.

Quote: "More than 726 children have been injured or killed in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. As of the morning of 4 June 2022, the official number of children who have been killed has not changed in the last 24 hours and stands at 261.  The number of wounded children has risen and is now 465."

Details: It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The largest number of child casualties (187) has been recorded in Donetsk Oblast. Kyiv Oblast has 116, Kharkiv Oblast 112, Chernihiv Oblast 68, Luhansk Oblast 52, Kherson Oblast 52, Mykolaiv Oblast 47, Zaporizhzhia Oblast 29, Sumy Oblast 17, the city of Kyiv 16 and Zhytomyr Oblast 15.

For example, on 2 June, Russian army servicemen fired from artillery at the village of Marianske, Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.  A woman and her two children aged 10 and 7 were injured.

Due to the constant bombing and shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 1,938 educational institutions have been damaged; 182 of these have been completely destroyed.
